So before this weekend I had never been to a dog park. Strangely it is like no other place I've been. I know that probably sounds a little ridiculous. You would have to know my dogs. I tried to take Soda, the lab/golden retriever mix. He is a incredibly smart dog which in general pisses me off. If there is a gate he will find a way out of it. The dog park has two gates, one to let them in the holding area and another one into the actual park. This works really well for all of the dogs, except mine! Once he found out he could open the gate he bacame obsessed. What kind of dog stops running around with other dogs to open the dog gone gate. So much so that I had to put him in the car because he couldn't play nice. Dog people are an interesting and unique group of people. I'm not a dog lover...but the man I love is therefore I have grown to love Big Dog and Little Dog. Some days more than others however. Anyway, back to the dog people! Wonderful, dedicated people who are incredibly loyal to their dogs. They will throw balls...wet, nasty slobbery balls over and over! More importantly to me they welcome outsiders and strangers. That's pretty unusual for most people. It's like I've found a new home...and as soon as John gets back he will even takes the dogs with me.
